Spirals always fascinate me and symbolize life’s journey. This piece evolved from my desire to create a quilt using shibori stitching and hand-dyed indigo cotton fabric. The construction of the piece includes hand quilting with silk thread, and hand embellishment using agate, semi-precious stones and beads, and cotton floss.
